Instructional Aide (26-27 School Year)

High School

Provide instructional and classroom support to campus, teachers, and students to enhance the learning environment. Assist with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs of students, including general education and, when assigned, special education services.

Instructional Support
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
• Support students in completing assignments and staying on task

Student Support
• Provide general supervision of students in classroom and common areas
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Support students with organizational, academic, and social skills

Specialized Support (as assigned)
• Assist in implementing accommodations and modifications for students
• Support students receiving special education services under teacher direction
• Help with behavior interventions and individualized supports as needed
• Assist with basic personal care needs when required

Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and staff
• Participate in training and staff meetings as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality of student information at all times

4-Day Week

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Associate’s degree or completion of 48 college hours (preferred)
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
• Ability to support a variety of student learning needs
