Elementary Counselor (26-27 School Year)

Mildred Elementary School

Provide individual and small-group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and monitoring academic progress.
Deliver classroom guidance lessons aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling.
Support college, career, and high school readiness planning, including course selection for high school.
Coordinate student interventions related to attendance, discipline, and academic concerns.
Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside agencies to support student success.
Participate in crisis response, threat assessment teams, and student support services as needed.
Maintain confidential student records and comply with state and federal laws (FERPA, TEC requirements).
Assist on junior high and high school campuses as needed.

Master’s degree in counseling or related field
Valid Texas School Counselor Certification
