High School Band

The High School Band consists of students in grades 8-12. In the Fall, students will participate in marching band and perform at football games as well as parades. Individual students can participate in All-Region, in which they will compete with other students in the region in order to make the All-Region band. Students that proceed in All-Region will then advance to All-Area with the chance to make All-State Band.

In the Spring, the band will prepare music in order to compete in Concert and Sightreading contest, where they will play their program in front of judges and challenge their music reading ability by performing a piece to be sightread, which will be a piece they have never seen before. Individuals can perform a solo or team up with others in the band and perform an ensemble for Solo and Ensemble contest. They will read music they won't normally read in a full band setting and compete for the chance to participate in State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
